Many things in life can cause us to feel off balance or not like ourselves. This can include difficult life transitions, lack of motivation, feeling 'stuck', struggles with becoming a mom, fertility problems, or grief and loss.

When we experience these situations we can feel alone or scared to say how we really feel. I strive to make women feel comfortable and safe so that they can talk about the hardships of life and begin to feel like themselves again.

  • Your First Visit
    1. Phone Consultation: We will set up a time to speak on the phone where I will gather information. During this brief call it is important to determine whether I am the best person to help you reach your goals. If so, we will schedule an intake appointment. However, if I am unable to provide the services requested I will happily help you find a good match. 2. First session: Plan to meet me in the lobby where I will show you to the office space, suite 272. There is a private waiting room with complimentary beverages and snacks. Once the session begins, any relevant information you feel comfortable sharing will be discussed. During this time we will determine your goals for treatment and the best therapy methods to reach them.
  • What is CBT and Mindfulness?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: CBT is a proven treatment to address many concerns including depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It increases awareness and understanding of our patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior. In therapy, clients learn to change and control these patterns. Mindfulness: This skill allows us to be present in the moment and to break free from the emotional attachment that we place on many thoughts. We do this by practicing a neutral observation of our thoughts and bringing our attention back to this moment in time. Mindfulness has shown to decrease depression, anxiety and improves memory.
  • Good Faith Estimate - No Surprises Act
As of January 2022 all self-pay clients have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients that do not have insurance or who are not using their insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. Clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. Clients can ask their health care provider, and any other provider, for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service. If a bill is received that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate it can be disputed. Make sure to save a copy or picture of the Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
